Gunpoint
My hands up in the air
My body frozen stiff
Suddenly upwards goes my leg hair
Sweat drips from face
The gun on my head
I can’t! I won’t!
It’s now or never
Let it all out or let it die within
My breath stale and steel
Nothing comes out of my mouth
Petrified, terrified, hexed
Am I screaming or confessing?
I don’t know (like always)
Enigmatic mind pushing towards the end
Don’t! just don’t! fallen like a lost king
Words out of my mouth like a snake
My whole body vigorously shakes.
My hands up in the air
Never knowing why,
confessing for nothing but air
Gasp. The gun fades?
The sweat still slowly drips
My throat feels like sand
And my head an avalanche
What had happened,
I would never understand
