Competition
If I could control time-
If I could control time, I would make it stand still. Pause it for just for a
moment. The seconds, hours and days that once escaped me would
now halter before me and bend to my will. Time would finally be within
my reach, I could live freely without the fear of what the future may
hold, or what the consequences of my past would be. It wouldn’t
matter. I could exist without the burden that time brings. Ticking
away,
each second bringing me closer and closer to my inevitable fate.
However, I am thankful for time. If I could control time, I would
slowly regress through it. Turn the clock back and travel back to
those
moments of pure euphoria, the type of moments that felt
encapsulated
by a warm haze of sunlight. I could melt into those memories and
remember what once was, how I once was. With people who have left
me and places that I left. All would return in my memory as fresh as
they day they were made.
If I could control time, I would wish to see the future. See what
lies ahead and what I make of myself. Am I successful? Do I live alone?
Was everything I’ve worked for worth it?. I would get answers to the
questions that haunted me in my present. I would know if I had made
the right decisions or if they were the wrong ones. I would know what
to do to change my outcome and if I wanted to.
