Why I Didn’t Do My Homework?
“Why didn’t you do your homework?” Mrs. Kay questioned one day
I shivered and quivered as I didn’t know what to say
I bit my lip until an idea hit
I replied in a stutter “Sorry Mrs. Kay I don’t mean to delay.
Unfortunately, an otter ate my
homework.”
Mrs. Kay was mingling her fingers and giggling in an unpleasant way
I felt as if I was trapped in a snare
just like an innocent hare
Mrs. Kay shot a stern glare
and questioned me again “why didn’t you do your homework?”
I muttered “My angel cat Nell ate my homework in a fast rate.”
I hopped Mrs. Kay would say “ok”
Through her glance I was sure I had no chance
The bell saved the day
by concluding the conversation with Mrs. Kay
I ran out the classroom in a way
At least I will be safe for the rest of the day.
