Afterward, it was time for lunch. We waited in the main hall, where
food was ready to be served. I can't quite remember what it was just
because of how the flavor of the food made me speechless and filled
my tastebuds with flavor. Once we finished eating, the villagers
performed ritual dances, played and sang songs, and took us by hand
to get up and dance. It was really fun. It gave me a sudden boost of
serotonin. Sadly as time passed so did our dancing. It was time to
head back to our hotel.
Once we arrived back to the hotel, my dad took some rest while me,
my sister, and my mum went out to the beach to swim in the coral
reefs. I remember a separate time when we went to a beach in Fiji
during our same stay, with black sand. Yes. Black sand! It was
something I've never seen before. We went on a glass boat out to sea.
The water was so clear that we could see the colorful corals. The guide
even said we could scuba dive. I was just about to but he said there
are coral sharks. I didn't go even though he said they were harmless. I
truly regret not going because the others that went came back dazed
by the beauty of it all. On the way back to the beach we saw dolphins,
they put on a show for us and even came close to our boat.
I enjoyed my stay in Fiji. It taught me to find happiness in the smallest
things, appreciate the surroundings around you, and to explore the
world because we only live once.
