The leaves change from solid green
To the hues of orange, red, brown, and yellow
Colourful as the Autumn bonfire
Cascading with desire
Falling and landing with glee
Reaches the child inside of me.

Loads and loads of colours
So bright and free
Creating a kaleidoscope of autumn glee
Awakening the season’s soul
Taking hold
Of the day’s chores.

Bring on the leaves, Autumn’s arriving
Exciting Summer’s rays
As she cascades, the colours glisten
The breeze gets wild
Soaring through the air
like a ghostly soul.

She takes golden earthly leaves with her
Fill the air
