COMUN XXVIII

After months of strenous preperation for the Colombo Operated Model
United Nations (COMUN), the CIS delegation was fully preared with what
they were to face on the 4th, 5th & 6th of March 2022. Following the
success at SLMUN earlier in the year, the delegation was determined to
replicate the triumph, though the delegation primarily consisted of hard-
working and gifted novices.

After 3 days of heated debate, CIS obtained two Best Delegate awards with
Saarvesh Ravindran gaining the award in the Third General Assembly along
with the Best Crisis Delegate award for the Ad Hoc Crisis Committee
between the GA3 and AU. Souriish Ravindran secured the highly sought
after Best Delegate award in the African Union. Akein Bandara won an
Honorary Mention in the Fourth General Assembly while Anushka De Silva
attained a Higher Commendation for his efforts as an admin.

CIS students were also involved in conference management with as many
as 5 students featuring in the executive committee. Devmini Wimalasena
was the Deputy Head of Operations while Devishka Chandrasekara and
Ruqaiya Farook were the Deupty Heads of Administration. Devin and
Damsith Wimalasena were the Head and Deputy Head of Community
Service respectively.
